The final countdown

The countdown's ticking and we're less that 2 weeks away. Actually, 2 weeks from now, we'll be checking into Heathrow for our flight to Mauritius. Seeing as it'll be the day after the wedding (well, more like 12 hours after we'll be kicked out of the wedding reception), I very much doubt we'll be upgraded due to looking rough. It'll be a well-deserved holiday though, as if we didn't think planning one wedding and a 3 week holiday wasn't enough, we've shoe-horned a traditional Pakistani wedding in for next weekend - eek!

Dave's on his stag weekend this weekend, so I'm juggling all the outstanding stuff left to do. I picked up my dress last week, had my hair highlighted and tidied yesterday, and had to sew a hair comb onto the 1930's veil to ensure there's some way for the veil to stick to my head. Today, it's all about the travel insurance and we're still undecided on the music for the first dance. Unsure whether to go for a slow and romantic versus an upbeat number - either way, it's going to be a bit embarrassing with everyone watching us sway back and forth for 3 minutes or so.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the weather gets better, we really don't need more rain.
