This weekend I managed to poison Dave for the second weekend running. Not with my cooking, but with innocuous seeming fruit. The other week, I bought home some lovely looking cherries, which I washed and we both ate whilst watching the telly. Dave's never really ate cherries before, but I thought it was about time he tried them. Moments later, his lips are tingling and his throat was tightening up. He stopped eating cherries and I finished off the lot.
I looked it up on the internet, and apparently it's an oral allergic reaction due to his hayfever, where the allergy to the pollen develops into an allergy to the fruit.
This weekend, I bought strawberries. Despite having ate strawberries many times in the past, he started getting the same symptoms as for the cherries. Next week, I'm going to try him on kiwi fruit...

At least he's getting vitamins and some of his daily 5. Next you can try blackberries, then raspberries, then gooseberries...
Yeah - he's just big whinger! I'm not trying to kill him at all really...
